HowManyCookies is a place to share recipes, compare forks, plan kitchens, discuss technique, and learn from other cooks. Help keep it useful.
1. Be constructive. Critique the recipe or technique, not the person. Disagreement is welcome; harassment, threats, hate, or targeted humiliation are not.
2. Keep it relevant. Use the appropriate recipe, Blog, Forum, feed, Gallery, Kitchen House, or support area. Do not flood the service with repetitive or misleading posts.
3. Do not spam or deceive. No scams, impersonation, manipulated engagement, undisclosed commercial promotion, malicious links, or attempts to game ratings, reports, forks, or discovery.
4. Respect privacy and consent. Do not publish another person's private information, private messages, likeness, or restricted content without permission.
5. Respect creative rights. Post material you created or are allowed to share. Give meaningful source credit. Do not use Recipe Git to disguise copying or erase lineage.
6. Use access controls honestly. Do not bypass private or restricted recipes, Kitchen Houses, messages, or profiles. Do not invite people into spaces merely to expose content elsewhere.
7. Describe recipes honestly. Do not claim a recipe is tested unless it was actually prepared. Do not fabricate ratings, safety assurances, dietary guarantees, or adaptation notes.
8. Share food-safety information carefully. Follow the Recipe & Food Safety policy. Dangerous challenges, knowingly unsafe instructions, and false medical or allergy claims may be removed.
9. Report problems through the right channel. Use content-reporting tools for community violations and Customer Service for account, privacy, or technical help. Do not organize harassment against another user.
10. Moderation may be contextual. We may label, limit, remove, or preserve content and may warn, restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts based on severity, history, and risk.
