Ingredients

  • 1 can (12 oz / 340 g) unsalted, canned tomato paste
  • 30 fl oz (3 cans / 890 ml) water
  • 3 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
  • 3 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

  1. Add tomato paste, water, vinegar, and black pepper to container.
  2. Shake or stir vigorously.
  3. Serve or store several days in a suitable container in refrigerator.

48-fluid-ounce (1.4 litres) pitcher or similar container

Notes

Contents will settle over time; shake vigorously before serving.

Recipe is easy to customize. Some options include adding cilantro, garlic, dill weed, peppers, or a few ounces of spinach.

Add 3 tbsp (2 servings) of bacon substitute to add a smoky taste and 10 g of protein at the cost of a few grams of fat and 2/10 of a gram of salt.
