Ingredients

  • 1 package (16 ounces) frozen green peas
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 can (4 ounces) sliced mushrooms, juice reserved
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 can (8 ounces) water chestnuts
  • Cooking spray
  • ¼ cup bread crumbs (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Cook peas according to package instructions, then drain.
  3. In a separate pan, melt butter.
  4. Add mushroom juice and flour to melted butter. Stir until thickened.
  5. Add mixture to peas, then add water chestnuts and mushrooms.
  6. Place in medium baking pan coated with cooking spray.
  7. Sprinkle breadcrumbs on top if desired.
  8. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until heated through.
