Dessert Sauce Salad

Ingredients

Sauce

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • 4 large red chiles, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1 pinch salt

Salad

  • 1 turnip, peeled and sliced very thin
  • 1 mango
  • 2 sour apples
  • 1 small pineapple
  • 2 large cucumbers
  • 3 oranges

Directions

  1. Dissolve the sugar in boiling water, and simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. Add chilli and salt.
  3. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  4. Peel and cube or slice the fruits and vegetables.
  5. Arrange fruit and vegetables in a bowl and pour the syrup over top.
