Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large portobello mushroom per person
  • Olive oil
  • Salt (as desired)

Directions

  1. Remove stems from the mushrooms, then wash and dry them.
  2. Brush with olive oil.
  3. Grill for about 10 minutes, alternating sides, until both sides are grill-marked.

Notes

When cooking on a barbecue, mixing the oil with a water based liquid (e.g. balsamic vinegar) will cause the fire to flare more and give the food more flavour; baste them as they cook.

Adding other flavours such as garlic and chilli works well. If you are in a hurry, just use vinaigrette dressing.
