Ingredients

  • 225 g (8 oz) spaghetti
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 450 g (1 lb) shrimp
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • 1 teaspoon red chile flakes
  • ¼ cup (25 g / 1 oz) chopped parsley

Directions

  1. Boil the spaghetti in water until al dente.
  2. Meanwhile, melt the butter in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add the garlic and stir.
  4. Add the shrimp and cook for 6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they turn pink-red in color.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, then stir in lemon juice, chili, and parsley.
  6. Drain the pasta in a colander and stir into the pan of shrimp.
  7. Divide the pasta between 4 plates and serve.
