Ingredients

  • ¼ L of Chilean brandy
  • 1 nutmeg
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 spoonfuls coffee
  • 4 cloves
  • ½ cup water
  • 9 cups (2.1 L) milk
  • 12 spoonfuls sugar

Directions

  1. Mix the nutmeg, the cloves and the cinnamon in a small pot with the water. Boil the mixture for 10 minutes.
  2. If desired, take remove the spices from the water, although it is better to leave them there.
  3. Transfer the water into a pot with a capacity of 3 liters.
  4. Add the coffee along with some more water and sugar.
  5. As soon as the sugar gets dissolved, add the rest of the milk and the Chilean brandy.
  6. Bottle the Cola de Mono and put it in the refrigerator.
