What belongs in a good adaptation note?

A recipe change is much easier to understand when the note answers three questions: what changed, why did you change it, and what happened?

For the first Snickerdoodle fork, we recorded the exact leavening swap instead of simply calling it “cream-of-tartar-free.” We also kept it marked untested because nobody has baked that version yet.
